Hi Tom, I haven't been able to keep up my contribution to your training journal over the last two months, so I thought I would go over some key points that we covered over SKYPE.
The first has to do with your greatly improved Tai Chi Form.

I'll put these photos up now and go back later when I can to fill in my comments that go with them. jb

I have been practising alot recently and have been walking delieberatley to work so that I can practice what you taught me. Really it is great and I have finally understood in experience as well as intellectually what resting points mean. When we dont rest we are working out, really quite wonderful. It is really easy to understand because you make it available unlike others
thanks for the note. a pleasure to work with you. be sure to make your own notes for me in advance of our next SKYPE session.. for example, the question on "resting points" I can't remember off the top of my head, but were you able to download that article I wrote for QI MAGAZINE? http://www.chiarts.info/view.php?id=22&session=38d5c95be06fff3aaa5eb0ffde10caca&user=62 it has a bit on the subject of SUNG which is very important and one of the key aspects missing from most internal martial art practices. regards, jb
Dear Shrfu,
I have just watched the video you have sent me. I have never seen Hsing-i taught in such detail and accesible. This is fantastic and I will try and put it into my hsing i now! Its very interesting about what you say about not moving until you feel it in your spine. Its funny but i have been doing this all well and instead of getting on the tube i walk 45 mins to work almost everyday in which to practice working with my spine when walking. By the the time I get to work i am pretty spent but so much happens. My hands (once the chi is flushing) cease to be cold, whereas other people are wearing gloves mine are bloody hot! On one day something happened to my thumb and little finger it was like they went numb but in fact it was tingling so much with chi buzzing hard to explain
Anyway thank you so much!!!
Tom

"Me reading my favourite book"

This morning I am reading a tibetan text translated by a good friend and a great translator. It is very interesting as within it is described exactly how the channels affect the body, which emotions are connected with them, and the problems that arise when they are obscured. Very interesting as it really relates to much of what you are and have taught. I have found that the TIbetan explanantions are very deep and exact! I personally have not heard of many Tai Chi teachers explaining the importance of emotions and how they relate to expereices of mind and body apart from in the most simplistic of ways. You are the only one that seems to be going in that direction. The point that I am getting to is that I really think you need to get your knowledge out there as your approach is devoid of cultural influence that a lot of the tibetan stuff has, no form of writing and grammar etc etc.cc
